Mail Order Brides - Better Than You Can Find

Working class American men have a lengthy history of looking to so-called mail order brides to provide wives for rural areas, mining camps, soldiers, and factory laborers. Times have changed.

Russian mail order wives are currently a step up or marrying up for even the best educated and wealthiest of Americans. The Internet has simplified the process of winning a bride who is younger, taller, prettier, smarter, sexier, and better-educated than one can charm at home.

The Web lets anyone search through hundreds of thousands of potential brides in minutes - no matter wherever she is in the world.

Although I believe this to be the golden era of email order brides - and not a means for nerdy or evil men to exploit poor or compliant women - I think the opportunity will be dying inside 5 to 10 years.

Reasons why:

1. Oil

Oil prices are destined to rise significantly. Some economists are predicting $20/gal gasoline. At half that amount, intercontinental air travel will become prohibitively expensive.

Electrical power would be able to be generated for your residence or electric vehicle from photo voltaic, wind, or geothermal sources, but jets need gasoline. Thousands of pounds of fuel.

Global travel by passenger jet may well become very expensive and out of the reach of the average man searching for a mail order bride.

2. International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 (IMBRA)

The International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 (IMBRA) involves background checks on American men looking to file immigrant or fiancee visa petitions for foreign women - if they met through an international marriage agency.

Some dating agencies (Yahoo!, Match.com) are exempt.

An International Marriage Broker (IMB) is an agent or agency - U.S. or foreign headquartered - that provides matchmaking or social referrals connecting U.S. citizens/permanent residents and foreign nationals for a fee.

Passed in the wake of the Anastasia King murder allegedly to protect foreign brides, all it does is take away privacy, free speech, and freedom of assembly from American men.

IMBs Must:

- examine U.S. sex offender public registries for information on the U.S. clients

- collect criminal and marital background information on the American man, including how prior marriages ended

- give this information to the foreign bride in her native language

- provide foreign fiancees with a government produced phamplet detailing her legal rights in the U.S.

- obtain the foreign client's written permission to release her personal information to the U.S. client

- limit of 2 fiance(e) visa petitions with at least 2 years between filings

While it should be easy to get around the law, why force Americans to lie to marry the woman of their dreams?

Just don't assume this will be the final piece of insane legislation to limit liberty of American citizens.

Since passage of IMBRA, foreign brides have been killed - by husbands who met their wives via exempt agencies.

American men are being vilified worldwide to satisfy a feminist agenda.

No state investigates American men for disclosure to American women before a marriage license is issued. And there's that annoying Constitution (what's left of it).

Noble intentions often create bad law. And I'm not even convinced of the moral intentions in the case of IMBRA.

If the courts uphold same-sex marriage, expect spousal and fiance(e) petitions to be restricted further.

Find your Russian, Chinese, Filipina, or Brazilian mail order wife before it becomes an impracticable ordeal.

3. American Men Are Still Valued Abroad

For a lot of foreign women, American husbands are still considered a good catch and a favorable match. Go figure.

I'm not certain if I am flattered or terrified.

Many foreign women view American men as better husband material, and not merely on a financial level. Hollywood films showing women's equality within marriage and relationships have no doubt contributed to the perceptions.

After a couple of divorces, I have grow to be more jaded regarding marriage. As an alternative of falling into a relationship, why not search for precisely what you want without neighborhood fix-ups or sorting through women in bars.

My recommendations:

For younger men, ladies from Russia, the Ukraine, and the former Soviet Republics, are the sexiest and most desirable females on the planet.

Go for it. Don't express regret or compromise. One will see so many who are the precise age, well-educated, and whose looks blow you away.

Caveat - examine the age differences. For Russian women, 10 to 15 years younger will work fine. A larger age difference could be risky.

For older or more conventional gentlemen, nothing tops the Philippines. Filipinas are the most pious, family oriented females I have ever lived among.

Young brides are less of an issue in the Philippines. As a rule, Filipinas stay married until the husband throws her out. While a Vice-Consul in Manila, I issued visas for wives 50+ years younger than their American husbands.

For men who have pensions or Social Security, I would mull over living in the Philippines with a young bride. Immigration goes both directions. A "fixed income" that barely covers living expenses can provide a very secure way of life in many countries.

For American men, you are nearing the conclusion of the golden era for marriage and family.

The social stock of American males will never be higher.

You will never be able to attract a more desirable wife or mother for your children.
